How to Prep & Install
1. Wash Surface Wash your walls beforehand and dry walls for 3 days to completely dry walls out. If you need to paint your walls before, be sure to give extra 10~14 days for the wall to dry out.
2. Measure Area Get your materials ready (razor blade knife, squeegee, tape measure, needle) and measure your object or wall space carefully to purchase sufficient number of products to avoid inconvenience.
3. Make Plumb Line Before installation, create a plumb line on wall or object with a pencil (not pen) for guidelines. Your pen ink can bleed and ruin the wallpaper surface. If you have wall switch plates, metal air vents, towel rods, toilet paper holders, etc., be sure to have removed them all before starting your installation process
4. Installation Environment For the most successful application, the environment should be between 60℉(15℃) and 82℉(38℃). Newly received product might have a slight odor. Please place in a ventilated place before installation.
5. Cut Product According to Measurement Measure the surface you will be covering and cut the contact paper to the same size.
6. Peel the Backing Off Slightly and Line the Top It’s important not to take the entire backing off and just stick it down on one side, as you might run the risk of bubbles and creases forming otherwise. Once you are ready to apply the contact paper, line it up where it’s going and attach the top part where the backing is peeled.
7. Continue to Peel and Smooth Out for Application While holding the wallpaper in place with one hand, smooth with the other hand with a scraper to remove any bubbles and even out the product. Slowly peel off the backing little by little to move down.
8. Trim the Bottom or Alongside Obstacles Trim the bottom of wall or surface of furniture as you finish applying the surface. If you run across window or any obstacles on surface, place the wallpaper on top and trim along before smoothing the surface down.
9. Use Heat to Work Around the Edges for Elasticity When applying over tabletops or any curved surface using a heat gun or blow dryer is recommended. When heated, product becomes more malleable to apply. Stretch the product over table edges or surface ends after heating the surface.
10. Poke Any Bubbles with Needle Even with careful attention, bubbles might occur during application. Prepare a thin needle to poke any bubble and smooth the surface out with a plastic scraper for an even finish. Run a ruler or other straight edge object over the entire surface at the end for a perfect finish
